General Assembly is the biennial gathering of the Alliance family of churches for worship, inspiration, fellowship, prayer and business.It is the highest governing body of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. Delegates to General Assembly include official workers and lay representatives of member churches.

convened July 2-6, 2008 at the Ottawa Congress Centre, Ottawa, Ontario
to conduct the business of the corporation. |

During the Sunday morning service, artist Gail Nesimiuk was invited to paint a picture which was later presented to President Franklin Pyles.
The painting is entitled "For Us", as expressed in her poem below:
He walked the road
Wore the robe
Shed His blood
Cleansed our sin
Opened glory's door
To streets of gold
For us. |
