General Assembly 2010 decided to continue a discussion of whether ordination in The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada should be restricted by gender. Following are some papers on this topic:

? President's Interpretation Paper: Interpretation of the Statement on Ordination as found in the Manual of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada - Franklin Pyles, June 2010

? Ordination in the C&MA: Some considerations that may affect its relationship to gender - Ken Radant, Summer 2009

? Ordination of Women: An Exegetical Reflection on the Ordination of Women in the C&MA - Sherri Guenther Trautwein, May 2009
? Ordaining Women: A realistic consideration for Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches in Canada? - Paul Polonenko, Pastor, Morden Alliance Church

? Ordination of Women: Time for a new Perspective - David Hearn, April 2011

Please note a forum has been set up to discuss this topic at www.cmacanforums.org. This forum is password restricted for Alliance personnel only. We ask that you discuss but do not quote on blogs, Facebook or any other site. Registering on the forum indicates your agreement to abide by these restrictions.

We are at this time restricting the use of the forum site to the discussion of women and ordination. In the future we will allow the site to be used for other issues, but right now we wish to focus attention on this one topic.
