In The Christian and Missionary Alliance, church education is, primarily, a function of the local church.
There are however, district and national ministries as well. At all levels of denominational life, church education is a vital and strategic part of the teaching and discipleship ministry of the church.
It is recognized that some Church Education Ministries (CEM) are the function of the district. District church education ministries and programs may differ from district to district but in all cases they provide ministries for all age levels that are tailored to the needs represented in each district.
The National Church Education Committee (NCEC) is appointed by the Board of Directors and reports as required. It is responsible for providing leadership and coordination to all national church education programs. The NCEC serves as a leadership team of age-level specialists. There is a national children's committee, a national youth committee and a national adult committee as well as district children, youth and adult committees.

Vision Statement
that every Alliance Church in Canada will demonstrate a deep commitment to be actively involved in God's plan of making healthy disciples of Jesus Christ at every age level - children, youth and adults
and that every Alliance person will become a healthy disciple and every teacher will become a "disciple maker" who will no longer just teach another lesson or just complete another club season, or ask wearily "Who will teach next year?" but with vision and passion will see teaching as equal to evangelism and discipleship as equal to missions and that every teacher will be able to lead others to Christ and to share the goal of making healthy disciples
and that our denomination will someday have many healthy churches because we have many healthy disciples and be led by a national director of church education ministries and in each district we will have a full-time district point-person and we will work as a unified leadership team at both the national and district levels as we carry forward together effective church education strategies
and that we will be effective brokers of church education resources who also provide tailored programs to the C&MA in Canada
and that our collective vision will be based on a Biblical and cohesive philosophy of ministry that is sequential, logical and Spirit-filled that is more people focused than program oriented, and that will address the spiritual growth of individuals at every age level in our denomination
but my vision will be satisfied if whenever we meet together we realize that we do not minister in isolation and that we learn to work together more strategically and intentionally lay meaningful tracks for the future and all embrace the absolute necessity of making healthy disciples and that whenever we meet, we put church education / disciple making ministries back on the Alliance map and put it high on our denominational agenda
