Chaplaincy is a growing ministry within the Alliance in Canada and the Association of Alliance Chaplains (AAC) connects its members with one another as well as to the National Ministry Centre and local churches. The AAC provides professional and pastoral support, guidance and advocacy, and also promotes education and training.

Chaplaincy has a diverse ministry scope bringing Christ?s presence to those who are often separated from the church. Chaplains not only reach those who are institutionalized in hospitals, long-term care or correctional facilities, but they also minister in government and community-based services such as the police and fire departments, educational facilities, the military, outreach centres and much more.

The Association of Alliance Chaplains (AAC) was formed in 1996. Its primary purpose is to provide a national and regional forum for Alliance chaplains to be officially recognized within the C&MA in Canada. Membership consists of both full-time and part-time chaplains. There are now over 40 chaplains participating in two association chapters in Alberta and Ontario.
