The Caribbean Sun sounds exotic and it is a beautiful place, however, it is also a spiritually dark and needy place. There are many exciting initiatives happening in the region, accompanied by persecution and many obstacles.
Mexico City is one of the most spiritually needy megacities of the world. We have teams there entering into a new era of multifaceted church planting. We also have students from Ambrose University College regularly participating in the one-year-long FUSION internship program. We are, however, only scratching the surface of the real needs. There are other cities in the region with multiple millions of inhabitants that we are focusing on reaching (Caracas, Valencia, Guadalajara and Tijuana).
Throughout the Sun region we have large Chinese communities and there is a growing work to reach out to them in a number of locations. The newest church plants are in Aruba and El Salvador.
Some of our personnel work in areas that are sensitive; things change continuously in those countries which makes moving forward challenging but also lets us see God?s miraculous provision.
